Lilaeopsis Carolinensis
Price:
£3.19
This plant is native to eastern North America and southern South America. It was introduced to Portugal and Spain. It is a grass like plant twice the size of Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, (common micro sword) The leaves are thicker and wider and stand more erect than other forms of Lilaeopsis. Typical growth is four to six inches in height depending on growing conditions. Emersed growth may be slightly taller. Like the other lilaeopsis species now in the hobby, it naturally grows into a very thick sod like lawn. This plant presents another alternative as a mid ground plant in smaller tanks and a foreground plant in deep large aquariums where you do not have to be constantly reaching in to prune and replant.
