Emersed plants produce short, ovate and at the base somewhat cordate, medium green leaves. Depending on the light intensity in the aquarium , the leaves are bright red brown to dark red under high illumination and green under low illumination. The plant name refers to the colour of the submersed leaves. The tops of the submersed leaves are faintly twisted. Another distinctive feature of this decorative plant is the faintly undulate leaf margin. The submersed leaves are narrowly elliptic and reach 20x4cm. With a height of 10-20cm this plant is suitable for planting in smaller aquariums. An absolutely stunning plant.
