This plant looks very much like the cryptocoryne lucens and is also pure green. In an emersed state the plants are significantly larger and the leaves are broader. In an aquarium they can grow up to 20cm, but the leaves are much narrower and more pointed. The botanical name includes the letter x ( pronounced 'cross') to denote a natural hybrid. Natural Hybrids evolve from plants of different species within a genus and occur naturally in the wild.
