Anubias gilletii is another sturdy, hardy and undemanding Anubias. It is not as widely available as the popular A. barteri, but is, if anything, all the more interesting for it. While this plant can remain relatively small at only 10 cm high, it also has the potential to grow up to 40 cm tall in some conditions. A. gilletii has hard, leathery leaves which discourage many plant eaters from eating it, which is why Anubias is more likely to survive alongside herbivores than many other aquatic plants.
